CARES Health provides compassionate, high-quality primary care services tailored to your unique health needs. We are here to provide a safe, non-judgmental healthcare experience for all people in our community. Please note that CARES Health providers will not prescribe controlled substances.

We offer full-panel STI screenings in a safe, stigma-free environment. Our team provides judgment-free care, education, and support to help you stay informed and in control of your sexual health. Tests for syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and HCV are free and available to anyone. Other STI tests are available through insurance or self-pay.

Our team can prescribe PrEP, an oral or injectable medication to prevent the transmission of HIV. PrEP might be a good choice for you if you are at risk for HIV transmission or want to add more peace of mind to your life. Our providers can also prescribe PEP, a short-term emergency medication that can help prevent HIV within 72 hours of potential exposure. 

With our physician specialist, Dr. Madhuri Lad, and our Nurse Practitioner, Justin Cole, we provide comprehensive, compassionate care for individuals living with HIV and/or HCV. Our team takes the time to understand your unique needs, combining evidence-based treatment with a patient-centered approach to empower informed decision-making and support your long-term health. 

Connecting with your provider from home or on the go is perfect for follow-ups, medication refills, or managing ongoing care. Telemedicine visits are offered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, and same-day appointments are often available. Coverage varies based on insurance plans.

At CARES Health, we are committed to supporting the whole health of our patients, including mental health and emotional well-being. Through our partnership with Pinnacle Care, a psychiatrist is available onsite at CARES Health on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to see patients by scheduled appointment. In addition to psychiatric services, Pinnacle Care also offers therapy and counseling services through virtual appointments or at their off-site locations, providing flexible options to help meet each patient’s individual needs. CARES Health offers quality on-site pharmacy services through our pharmacy partner, Genoa. We are dedicated to making services convenient and accessible through our on-site pharmacy and the option to receive prescriptions directly to your home through mail-order.

CARES Health offers convenient onsite laboratory services to support timely, coordinated care. Our in-clinic lab allows your care team to receive results quickly and keep all parts of your treatment connected in one place. If your visit requires lab work, we encourage you to complete your labs two weeks before your appointment so your care team can review your results and make the most of your visit.
